Mashagira S has changed hisher profile picture

I was born in Rugari in October 1979. I am married to Seyonga Furaha and we have four children: two girls and two boys. When I started work with the ICCN things were tough. When my parents died I had to stop studying and begin manual work. I was sad about all that for obvious reasons but I knew it was the only way for me to get anywhere. At this time the ICCN had a recruitment drive at Rumangabo. So I decided to give up everything else and dedicate myself to the park. It was a great decision.

I was 20 years old. With other recruits of similar age I undertook three months of paramilitary training. After that, and a period during which the ICCN considered whether we were right for the job, I got a call to tell me that I could start work.

This is a noble job and I believe that what I do is of service to my country and to the whole world. I’m proud of that.
